While in Manzanillo a former cartel member shared with me his story of wanting to get out of the cartels. However, it wasn't as simple as walking away and his want would come with a price. Fortunately for him, he had a praying Christian mother who wasn’t well off by any means but by the provision of God she managed to raise $10,000, the ransom price for her son’s out and release–alive!
He teared up as he recalled and looked back on his story at which time I urged him of his wonderful opportunity to start anew beginning with a total life transformation and relationship with Jesus Christ.
My sister, my brother, I would appeal to you to do the same. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose. So why not? The bible says:
If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
